Make a personalized wedding gift using your Cricut machine. These heartfelt Mr. & Mrs. mugs add that special touch to any bridal shower or wedding gift. This is my first Cricut craft! I have been wanting a Cricut since my teenage years when they were advertised on late night TV infomercials. Yes, that is a true story and no, I’m not going to tell you my age. Wash the mugs and make sure they are dry. Start by opening the Cricut Design Space app and starting a new project. Insert the font option and choose your font. I went to system and chose DancingScript-Bold. Enter your text.

Uploading text into Cricut Design Space.

Adjust the sizing that will fit your mugs. I adjusted to 3″ x 1.5″. Next go to “Make it” and select without mat (If you’re not using Smart vinyl you will need to use a mat). And select your material.

Connect to your Cricut machine and load your vinyl when prompted.

Loading vinyl into the Cricut 3 machine.

Press the start button when you are ready! Once the words are cut, unload the machine and cut out the vinyl. Weed the excess vinyl around the cut letters.

Cut a piece of transfer tape and place it over the words. Remove the backing.

Next position the transfer tape over the mug, press down and carefully peel the transfer tape so that the words are left on the mug.

Removing the transfer tape.

Add the words to both mugs and you’re done! You can even make it extra special by adding names to the other side. I love how these turned out. You can also add a layer of Mod Podge dishwasher sealer ontop of the vinyl letters so that the mugs can be placed in a dishwasher, otherwise they will need to be washed by hand.
