How to Make Personalized Jewelry Boxes

These little leather jewelry boxes can usually be found for a great price when bought in bulk! That’s why they’re a really affordable gift to give, especially when you need to make multiples.

Open a new project in Cricut Design Space. Click the font button and write your name or initials.

Change the font to your desired style (I used Mandala Handmade.) This font automatically ungroups so I had to weld to make sure the letters don’t overlap while cutting.

Adjust the size to 2.5” wide by 1.5” height.

Click “make it” and follow the prompts to load your cutting machine. If you’re using Cricut smart materials you don’t need to use a cutting mat.

Once cutting is done, unload the mat and cut around the name. Remove the excess vinyl leaving only the name.

Cut a piece of transfer tape, remove the backing and place it on top of the name. Peel the transfer tape along with the vinyl name. Carefully place it on top of the jewelry box and rub gently back and forth.

Peel away the transfer tape and you’ve got yourself a sweet little personalized jewelry box.

Additionally, you can use iron-on vinyl. Just remember to print in “mirror image.” Cut out around the name as closely as possible, place a piece of parchment paper overtop and CAREFULLY rub your iron over top. Make sure your iron isn’t too hot because it can easily burn the top of these boxes.
