How to Make Paper Stars
To start, cut the paper to a 6″x12″ size. To make bigger stars make sure that you are using paper that has been cut into a rectangle.

Next place the printed side face down and start folding, accordion style.

Next, cut a piece of fishing line or string and tie it around the middle of the folded paper.

Cut the ends of the paper at an angle.

Start fanning out the paper accordion and tape the back to hold in place. As an alternative, you can glue the two end pieces together instead of taping.

Do the same thing to the other side.

The DIY paper stars are done!

Next, all you have to do is hang your stars, place them in a tiered tray or attach them to other decor. I added mine as a part of my minimalist Christmas fireplace.
