• STL file from Thingiverse (grab the free file here)
• 3D Printer (Ours is the Creality Ender 3v2 Printer)
• Filament (color of your choice)

How to Make a 3d Printed Cat Bookmark

To start, we grabbed our free file off Thingiverse and imported into a program called Ultimate Cura.

We changed the dimensions so that our cat bookmark would be a bit bigger and we also added an extra 25% for thickness.

Next, we then created the Gcode and let our printer do the work.

This bookmark took less than 3 hours to complete.

Once printed, simply take it off the printer bed and it’s ready to use!

My kids are obsessed with cats so of course they were so excited to use their bookmarks!

How to Make a 3D Printed Flower Pot

To start, we grabbed our free file off Thingieverse and changed the dimensions a bit so that it could fit our artificial plant from Ikea. This one also comes with drainage holes at the bottom so if you’re adding soil you’ll have a place for the water to go. Next, we then created the Gcode and let our printer do the work.

Once it’s printed simply add your plants, succulents or faux flowers and display.

DIY Organizers for Ikea Drawers

The great thing about this print is that the file is a universal and can be adjusted to fit most drawers. There is even a bottomless version (which is what we chose) that uses less filament and is faster to make.

Start by exporting your print file into a slicing program such as Slic3r and adjusting to your drawers. These fit our Ikea Alex Drawer perfectly and we didn’t need to adjust the parameters.

Then create a Gcode (this is the instructions for your printer) and set up your choice of filament and let your printer do the work! The printer will create your organizers layer by layer. Once started, each print takes about 1.5 hours or you can print multiples at the same time.

Once printing is done you just have to remove DIY organizers from the printing bed and set them up in your drawers.

3D Printing is a great way to imagine and create what you need for your home. These diy organizers can be any color or shape so you can make whatever suits your style and needs.
