Just in time for Valentine’s Day this candy charcuterie board is simple to put together and perfect for parties, for fun or for your sweetheart.
Charcuterie boards are all the rage these days. I like to think of them as adult sized lunchables, but you don’t have to use them for just meats and cheeses. I love the idea of candy charcuterie boards for special occasions like Valentine’s day, Easter and birthday parties. Plus you can easily make a candy charcuterie board on a budget. I made mine with everything from the dollar store! I already had the board but I did see nice wooden boards at the dollar store.
I found this adorable heart plate at the dollar store. I really wanted to use it but I think it was too big for the board for I decided to save it for something else.
Decorate your Candy Charcuterie Board
The candy caught my daughter’s eye so of course she had to help out, plus eat some candy along the way! We started by placing some marshmallow hearts and candy hearts on the board. You can pick a color scheme for your candy board or buy whatever sweets you like the best. We made ours for Valentine’s day so we bought a lot of hearts.
Stack, pile and arrange the candy on the board. This is the fun part because you can decorate your board however you like, the creative possibilities are endless.
If you ‘re having a party you can give everyone a little bag to carry some candy home.
I can’t believe that earlier I said that decorating your candy charcuterie board was the best part because obviously eating the candy is the best part. Enjoy!
What’s your favorite candy?
