DIY Stacked Book Decor
This is probably one of the easiest home decor ideas you can make, especially if you are a beginner. Repurpose old books or buy ones from the dollar store. I chose to go to the dollar store because I wanted my books to be even, but the possibilities are endless. Feel free to use hard cover or soft cover books, new or old.
Take off any plastic covers and paint your books. You may need a few coats, but make sure to let the paint dry between each coat. You want the title of on the spine to be completely covered.
Once your books are dry you’re ready to start stamping them. I have small stamps so I really wanted to try and use a stencil instead. It turned out looking more like a bunny then a letter. I think it’s kind of cute? But not what I was going for, so I pulled out my stamps.
This part is fun because you can customize the stacked books with different quotes, names or important dates. I chose “Home Sweet Home.”
Stack your books together and wrap them with some ribbon or twine. And you’re done! It really is that easy. I think the hardest part was waiting for the paint to dry.
Now decorate your home or give the stacked books away as a gift. I think they make a sweet housewarming gift and I actually plan to make some for family that just bought a new house!
