Nothing’s more relaxing than soaking in the tub after a long hot day. Add in some of this DIY peppermint salt bath and leave your bath feeling refreshed and clean.
We have fresh mint growing in our backyard. When you open the windows and the breeze comes you can smell the mint in the whole house. It’s such a lovely smell and best of all, the mint grows on its own every year! We usually dry it out and use it for recipes and teas. But I’m showing you how to make this DIY peppermint salt bath using fresh mint.

- 2 cups epsom salts
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- Fresh mint (chopped into small pieces)
- Peppermint essential oil (optional)
- Glass jar (that you can seal)
DIY Peppermint Salt Bath
To start, chop your fresh mint into small pieces. You can use dried mint as well just make sure to make small pieces. I’ve even used peppermint leaves from tea bags (just open the bag and remove the tea).
Combine the epsom salt, baking soda, fresh mint and peppermint essential oil in a large bowl.
Thoroughly mix together.
Add your mixture into an air tight glass container, such as a mason jar or glass bottle.
Use half a cup of salt and enjoy this minty salt bath
