Popsicle stick garden markers are such an easy way to label your seedlings, herbs and plants. We have been prepping our garden box and planting our vegetable seeds inside. Only thing left to do is make our own colorful plant markers so we can keep track of what we planted!
We started our first vegetable garden last year! Hubby made a garden box, the kids helped plant seeds and we grew WAY too many tomatoes. They over powered the rest of the vegetables! And with our excitement we sort of forgot where we planted certain veggies. So this year we definitely made garden markers! And we decided to make bright garden markers so we wouldn’t forget this time.
Popsicle Stick Garden Markers
You can make these yourself so quickly using popsicle sticks. You don’t even have to paint them if you don’t want to. But painting them bright colors was fun and also a funny reminder for us. We even found large sticks at the dollar store so we would be able to make garden markers for the newly seeded veggies and big ones for the garden outside.
You’ll need:
- Popsicle sticks (small and large)
- Paint
- Paintbrushes
- Letters stamps with ink pad or sharpie marker
- Mod Podge
Paint your popsicle sticks in different colors.
Once your popsicle sticks are dry use stamps or a sharpie to write the vegetable names you’re planning to plant. Once dry seal the bottom of the popsicle stick with Mod Podge.
Let your popsicle stick garden markers dry completely.
Now you just have to add the garden markers to your plants!
